Kind of ... on Monday I took a "rest" day because I was lazy, the weather was yucky and work was crazy. But, I'm very proud to say that I've stuck to the program the rest of the week thus far!
Tuesday- 3 mile run/walk at Durant Nature Park with Angie
Wednesday- 3 mile run/walk followed by 30 minutes of biking at the YMCA
Thursday- 6 mile bike at Shelley Lake
All is not completely positive however, as I was challenged and daunted by the inclines around the lake. Actually, its not even multiple hills- just two steep ones at the beginning. And I had to walk after pedaling halfway b/c my legs could not keep up with the desire to pedal up and up. Makes me fearful of the bridges in Miami. I don't think I've ever seen anyone WALK their bikes up inclines. At least when I biked to Key West years ago, I did successfully ride to the top despite contemplating walking as there were other even less fit folk than I doing just that.
I might do another triathlon next week in Reston. What is a "pool snake swim"? I think it would be a great warmup to the big escape in Miami as I'd be obligated to do the long bike and run, the two components of training I kind of backout of more than I should ... who knows, maybe I'll meet people who train in DC and that will be inspiration for me.
Today, happy to announce that I haven't counteracted my good exercise by eating say, yummy Bojangles or Chic Fil A!

super! My suggestion is to do intervals on a spinning bike, 3 minutes "uphill" one minute rest pace
and the same with running, 3 minutes "uphill" one minute flat, times 5 repetitions... to get your body used to the changes
